Where heaven and earth join.

Recognized around the world for their spectacular views and wines of distinction, including their estate grown Pinot Noir, wine lovers from near and afar find their way to this unique and beautiful site high on a mountainside on Virginia’s Blue Ridge. Far from the cities, highways and byways, you will find yourself overlooking mountain ranges, valleys and vineyards below connecting with the expansive skies above while sipping some of the east coast’s finest wines. You have found yourself where heaven and earth join… Ankida.

A world class Pinot Noir grown in Virginia? They said it couldn’t be done. But this cool, high elevation site on rocky, steep sloped soils has proven to be a perfect site to grow the tight-clustered, thin skinned grape. The Vrooman family embarked on a serendipitous journey in 2006 that proved it could be done. And the rest is history. Winemaker, Nathan Vrooman, crafts small batch wines from estate grown Pinot Noir and Chardonnay. Their wines can be found at such prestigious locations as The Inn at Little Washington and Blackberry Farms. The cozy tasting room expresses rustic elegance, and the warm and welcoming staff will make you feel you at home. There are no large crowds, no buses, just an intimate setting with spectacular views and elegant wines.
