50 West Vineyards was named after the historic Route 50, which spans the entire width of the United States – from Ocean City, Maryland, to Sacramento, California. We're rich with history; our land has been everything from a Civil War battle area to an old horse farm. Our tasting room is a converted horse stable, sitting high on a bluff with stunning views of the Bull Run Mountain range.

We're proud to produce authentic, 100% Virginia wine. We grow our grapes across five properties in Northern Virginia and the Shenandoah Valley, and hand-tend over 80,000 vines. Our grape varieties include Cabernet Sauvignon, Albariño, and Sauvignon Blanc, and we strive to produce classic Bordeaux-style red and white wines, combining Old World winemaking techniques with our modern state-of-the-art solar-powered production facility located at our sister winery, Sunset Hills Vineyard.
